HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. -- Jake Kneen and Connor Jones each carded a 73 (+2) on the day as Oakland's late surge on the final day of the Horizon League Championship fell short as the Golden Grizzlies took runner-up Tuesday at Mission Inn Resort (El Campeon Course par 71, 6,670 yards).

Overall Kneen finished in third place with a total score of 219 (+6) and earned all-tournament honors. Marc Norton, who tallied a day three score of 75 (+4), finished the tournament tied for seventh-place at 225 (+12). Jones finished tied for 16th place with a final score of 230 (+17).

The Golden Grizzlies came into the final day in fifth-place and down by 16 strokes and surged for a final round of 296 (+12). Overall, Oakland carded a total score of 907 (+55).
