AKRON, Ohio – Will Gayne recorded two first place finishes en route to the Oakland men's swimming and diving team's second straight first place finish at the Zippy Invitational, finishing with 2376.5 points. The women moved up into third place on the last day of competition, finishing with a three-day score of 1231.
 
Gayne placed first in the 400 freestyle relay (3:00.90) and the 200 backstroke (1:48.38).
 

On the women's side, Taylor Bailey finished fourth in the 200 breaststroke (2:16.99).
 

 The Golden Grizzlies will return to the pool January 12, at home against Kenyon College at 2 p.m.
