WAITE'S 200 BREASTSTROKE COMPLETES U.S. OLYMPIC TRIALS EXPERIENCE

June 30, 2016

Women's 200-meter breaststroke results

OMAHA, Neb. -
Rachel Waite capped off her U.S. Olympic Trials experience by going 2:38.68 in the 200-meter breaststroke Thursday afternoon at the CenturyLink Center. She is the first Oakland female swimmer to ever qualify in multiple events at the U.S. trials, having competed in the 100 breaststroke earlier in the meet.

Waite and Devon Nowicki's performances marked the first time two Oakland swimmers competed in multiple events at the U.S. trials, and for just the second time in program history, Oakland had two swimmers qualify for the meet.
