Hillsdale Gina Relays 10000m Final Results

HILLSDALE, Mich. - Bryce Stroede made the most of his 10,000m run debut breaking the school record with a time of 29:48.27 to finish third out of 33 runners at the 49th Annual Hillsdale College Gina Relays held at the Ken Herrick Outdoor Track on Friday night.

"Tonight was one to remember. A redshirt freshman debuts in the 10K and shatters our school record," said head coach Paul Rice. "Bryce never ceases to amaze me. We are hoping this performance will earn him a spot in the first round of the NCAA's. We just decided last week to try the 10K and this was an awesome display of toughness and determination by Bryce in the most grueling race in track and field."

Stroede was the only Oakland track and field student-athlete to compete at the Gina Relays. The rest of the men's and women's team will be competing in the Crusader Open hosted by Valparaiso University at the Warren G. Hoger Track at Brown Field and the East Gate Athletics Complex on Saturday, April 25 beginning at 10:30 a.m.
