Dec. 11, 2015 ROCHESTER, Mich. - The Oakland women's basketball team (5-3) welcomes No. 23/25 Michigan State on Sunday, Dec. 13 at 3 p.m. The game will be televised live from the Blacktop at the O'rena on TV20 and ESPN3 with Brad Golder and Bethany Watterworth on the call.

A LOOK AT THE SPARTANS: Michigan State (6-2) is nationally ranked No. 23 in the latest USA Today Coaches Poll and No. 25 in the Associated Press Poll. The Spartans are coming off a 73-44 win at Davidson (Dec. 9). Junior guard Tori Jankoska and junior forward Aerial Powers lead the team in scoring at 18.0 and 18.3 ppg respectively.
SERIES HISTORY: MSU leads the all-time series against Oakland 11-4 winning the last meeting 79-64 on Nov. 26, 2014. The Golden Grizzlies last defeated the Spartans 76-57 back on Feb. 6, 1982.
LAST TIME OUT: For the second time this season, Olivia Nash scored 20 points while Taylor Jones added 14 points on 3-of-5 shooting from long range as Oakland rolled past Rochester College, 83-49 (Dec. 13). Rio Dudgeon scored a career-high 10 points along with Taylor Gleason who also added 10 points and six assists. The Golden Grizzlies had 30 steals on the defensive end and 21 points off turnovers.
HITTING THE BOARDS: Nash currently has 716 career rebounds needing only 11 to move past Heather Bateman for 10th all-time in program history. Earlier this season, Nash became the 27th player in program history to surpass 1,000 points in the season opener against UM-Dearborn (Nov. 13).
SCORING MACHINE: As a team, Oakland currently sits atop Horizon League in scoring offense (82.8 ppg) which ranks 14th nationally. The Golden Grizzlies lead the league in field goal percentage (46.8%) and rank second in scoring margin (+13.0).
DROPPING DIMES: Oakland leads the HL and ranks fifth in the nation in assists-per-game (20.8 apg). The Golden Grizzlies are also tops in the league in assist/turnover ratio (1.3 ave.). Individually, Popkey ranks second in the league (5.9 ave.) which is No. 6 all-time in school history with 380 assists.
