Horizon League Release

INDIANAPOLIS - Oakland`s Bryce Stroede has been named Horizon League Runner of the Week for the week of Dec. 2-8, announced by the league office on Tuesday afternoon.

Strode, a sophomore from Horton, Mich. and defending Horizon League Champion in the one-mile run, claimed the 3000m run title at the IPFW Mastodon Opener to set an Oakland school record with a time of 8:18.82 (8:13.09 converted) which also ranks as the top time recorded in the nation for that event.

The men's track and field team returns in 2015 at the EMU Triagular held on Jan. 9 in Ypsilanti, Mich.
