ELMHURST, Ill. - Oakland's Brittni Hutton was named to The Summit League Academic All-League Team as voted on by the nine institution's faculty athletics representatives and sports information directors. Hutton is one of 12 women student-athletes honored for their combined athletic and academic performances this season.

Hutton, a senior from Highland, Mich., finished third in the 5,000m run with a time of 16:59.31 and earned a bronze medal in the 3,000m steeplechase with a 10:45.30. She is a communications major who holds a 3.41 grade-point average.

Hutton will be competing in the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field East Preliminary Meet next weekend in the 10,000m run as she qualified 42nd overall with a time of 34:56.38. The meet begins May 23-25 and is hosted by North Carolina AT&T State in Greensboro, N.C.
