OMAHA, Neb.-- Oakland (7-7, 1-1)will take on Summit League newcomer Omaha (9-3, 1-1) on Thursday in Sapp Fieldhouse at 8 p.m. ET. It will be the first time that the Golden Grizzlies have faced the Mavericks.

The Golden Grizzlies are coming off a 68-59 win over IUPUI in their last outing. OU shot a season-high 60.5 percent from the field in the win and got 20 points from Elena Popkey. Elizabeth Hamlet scored 13 points and was perfect from the field (4-for-4) and the free-throw line (5-of-5).

The Black and Gold overcame a halftime deficit for the second time this season. Shelby Herrington sparked the rally with conseuctive baskets to start the second half. The Golden Grizzlies shot 75 percent from the field in the second half and every player in the lineup scored.

With a win on Thursday, Oakland head coach Beckie Francis would move into a tie for the third most career wins by a Summit League coach with 192.
