ROCHESTER, Mich. -- Oakland (3-2) will take on Michigan-Dearborn (1-3) Monday in the Athletics Center O'rena at 6:30 p.m. The two teams have met 18 times dating back to the 1975 season, but it has been over a decade since the Golden Grizzlies have faced the Wolves on the hardwood.
It will be a quick turnaround for Oakland, which played at Niagara on Sunday. Elena Popkey had a career-best 18 points and Olivia Nash had 15 points and 13 rebounds in a hard-fought, 70-59, loss to the Purple Eagles.
Nash is averaging a double-double of 13.0 points and 11.6 rebounds this season and has led Oakland in rebounding in every game. She is the only OU player to reach double-digit scoring in every game. Annemarie Hamlet is averaging 13.2 points per-game to lead the Black and Gold in scoring, while Victoria Lipscomb leads the team in both assists (15) and steals (12).
The Golden Grizzlies are 18-0 in the series against Dearborn with a 13-0 record in games played at the O'rena.
