Coach Beckie Frances

Opening Statement
I think it was a really good weekend for our basketball team. Coming out with two wins over 20 points. I'm really pleased with the preparation and we are ready to get back to work.

Defensive presence during game
I think that our defense is improving and it's improving every game and we have said that and I think that is why we are winning and why we were improving with every non-league game. I know I keep referring back to the Penn State game but we did so well there and it is carrying over. It is funny though I was a little upset with the fouls we were committing towards the end so I think our defense can get even better and smarter because I thought we were bailing them out a little. Maybe that's just me being too picky because I just look and we held them to 25 percent shooting from the floor but I was just unhappy that they got to the line 17 times.

Maintaining high shooting percentage throughout games
I think there is different substitutions and different flows which led to different kinds of lineups so I think that we were getting some offensive rebounds and put backs and the refs were letting it go a little bit because the game was out of reach. We have got to put those in, I think we got hit on a couple of those and though it's not an excuse I think we need to finish them

Getting more of the lineup involved in the game
What I like is that we had 21 assists on 23 of our baskets and that is the motion of offense and why there is so much even scoring throughout the entire stat sheet. It looks like there were four people had eight and our bench had 16 points or more and that is just because they are unselfish and they don't care who takes the shot and it's whoever takes it. I thought the last couple of minutes we were too unselfish which caused turnovers and passing up shots so we have to work on being more selfish I guess.

Confidence going into Centenary
I feel really good. Thank the Lord we are healthy and we are fresh. It was nice to have this break. We have been working really hard, eating well, now they will be starting classes and we will be heading on the road. I got a lot of new players on this team and they don't know what it's like to go on the road in the conference. It's tough but it's good we have this confidence going into the weekend.

Sharise Calhoun

Run at the end of the first half
Well it was all my teammates really, because they set great screens to get me open. That is the one thing you love about the motion offense, everyone is involved so when you get a great screen and have the confidence to take those shots. Like I said it was all my teammates.

Being the "defensive stopper" Of course, I always have pride in our and my defense. I always just try to be that spark plug for everybody on defense. I want to get everybody into it and really today it shows because everyone played great defense today. I do take pride in it but it is way better when the whole team gets stops. It's team defense.

Defensive intensity in second half
Well as we looked at all the previous games, our second half has been a little slower start defensively and that's what our focus was all week in practice was getting stops on defense really taking pride in team defense. I think we really focused on our defense in the second half and to stay focused on it and get stops

Melissa Jeltema

Taking control early in first half offensively
I didn't really think about it actually. I just had an open lane and took it and I think they fouled me three straight times at the beginning of the game so I started out on the line but no I really didn't think about it.

Scoring 20-plus points and how she feels about her performances
I'm just really relaxed out there and my teammates are setting good screens to let me get open and I'm just putting them in the hoop.

Confidence level going into roadtrip
I would say that we are really confident right now. I would say our non-conference games we had really helped us step our game up. With these two wins at home and three in a row we are just ready to go.
