ROCHESTER, Mich. - Sophomore Chelsea Oates and freshman Marcella Barretta will represent Oakland University when they compete in the 2009 NCAA Zone 'C' Championship on Friday and Saturday, March 13-15 at the University of Minnesota. The women with the 10 highest scores will obtain berths to compete at the NCAA Championship March 19-21 in College Station, Texas on the campus of Texas A&M University.

Oates was the 2008 Summit League Diver of the Year and set the then-league records in the one-meter and three-meter boards with scores of 252.75 and 273.20, respectively. She currently holds season best scores of 267.17 in the one-meter and 273.60 in the three-meter. Barretta, meanwhile, is ranked in the top-10 in Oakland history in both diving events with her marks of 265.57 (one-meter) and 268.42 (three-meter).
