ROCHESTER, Mich. - The Oakland University women's swimming team will kick off the 2009-10 season, Friday, Oct. 16 at the Tom Stubbs Relays in Bowling Green, Ohio. The Golden Grizzlies will then return home to host Illinois and Toledo, Saturday, Oct. 17 at the OU Aquatic Center. The meet is scheduled to start at 1:00 p.m.

In Oakland's last meet, Team Black beat Team Gold 163-133. Freshman Vanessza Balogh took first in three events for team Black. She won the 100 butterfly and the 500 and 1000 free events.

Finishing with two wins each was freshman Sandra Czerska (100, 200 fly), junior Chelsea Oates (1 and 3-meter boards) and senior Agnes Solan (100, 200 back).
