Rochester, Mich. (Aug. 3, 2005) ???C Oakland University head women???s basketball coach Eileen Hilliard has resigned her position Associate Athletics Director Tracy Huth announced today. Her resignation is effective immediately. Hilliard took over the Golden Grizzly program in the fall of 2002 and saw the team increase its win total in each of the three seasons she was with the team. She compiled a 51-35 (.593) overall record, including a 21-8 mark last season that set a Division I record for wins for the Golden Grizzlies. In Mid-Con play she put together a 29-17 (.630) mark, leading OU to a 12-4 record and a second-place finish in the Mid-Con standings last season. ???Oakland University???s women???s basketball team is right on target for success,??? said Hilliard. ???We have an outstanding group of student-athletes who have been a joy to coach and who have the talent and work ethic to attain the lofty goals the University has set.
