Elmhurst, Ill. (Feb. 28, 2005) ???C Oakland University swimmer Melissa Jaeger (Ann Arbor, Mich.) has been named Mid-Continent Conference Athlete of the Week, it was announced today. This marks the first such accomplishment for Jaeger and is the fifth time an OU women???s swimmer/diver has received the honor. Jaeger helped guide the Golden Grizzly women to a fourth consecutive first place finish in the NIC meet. The sophomore picked up individual victories in the 100-and 200-butterfly before touching the wall first in the 200 IM. Jaeger also contributed to the Golden Grizzlies??? champion 200- and 400-medley relay teams that set season and Mid-Con top times.
