Timothy Fair is the Assistant Athletic Director for Facilities and Event Management at Oakland University, having joined the athletic department in February 2024. A proud alumnus of Oakland University, Timothy returns to Rochester after nearly nine years at the University of Detroit Mercy, where he held various roles, including Game Day Event Staff, Facilities and Events Intern, Assistant Director of Operations, and Director of Facilities and Event Operations.
During his tenure at Detroit Mercy, he managed athletics groundskeeping, turf maintenance, game day operations, and more. He also supervised the women’s softball team for three years. Prior to Detroit Mercy, he coached high school baseball at Roseville High School and gained diverse experiences in sports through various internship and volunteer roles.
At Oakland, Fair oversees all athletic facilities, manages daily operations, and supports event management and capital projects. He earned his Bachelor’s in Exercise Science from Oakland in 2014 and a Master’s in Sports Administration from Wayne State University in 2015.
Outside of work, Fair enjoys playing hockey and golfing. He resides in Roseville, Mich. with his wife, April, their children, Lucca and Giulianna, and their two dogs.
