Biography

Former Oakland standout Anne Hafeli returns to OU for her third season as a member of head coach Beckie Francis' staff this season. Hafeli (formerly Hafeli), ranks as the No. 10-leading scorer in OU history with 1,469 career points, playing for OU from 2002-06.


Over the course of her four-year career at Oakland, the Golden Grizzlies made consistent improvement, culminating in a conference title her senior year where the Golden Grizzlies advanced to the NCAA tournament behind Hafeli's performance as Tournament MVP.


A two-time all-Mid-Continent Conference selection, Hafeli averaged 12.6 points for her career, and ranks second all-time at OU in 3-point field goals made with 235. Her .852 free throw percentage also ranks second in OU history.


While at Oakland, Hafeli earned several athletic and academic honors, being named CSTV National Athlete of the Week and MVP of the Mid-Con basketball tournament her senior year, in addition to a laundry list of other awards. She also capped her career by being named the Hollie L. Lepley Senior Scholar-Athlete Award winner, and was nominated by the Mid-Continent Conference as its candidate for NCAA Woman of the Year.


She earned her bachelor's degree in business marketing from OU in 2006. She has since coached with the Michigan Legion club program as an assistant coach for the 16/17u junior S.E.L.E.C.T. team.


Since her playing days, Hafeli has had a successful career in the banking industry, serving for two years as a senior mortgage banker with Quicken Loans, earning top revenue producer and top sales producer awards, producing over $85,000 in revenue in her final month with the company. For the last year, Hafeli has served as a personal banker at J.P. Morgan Chase, where she has been in charge of retaining and deepening relationship with current customers in addition to bringing in new customers.


At OU, Hafeli's duties consist primarily of recruiting and fundraising. She is also involved in the day-to-day operations of the women's basketball program, including scouting, team travel, compliance, and camps.


Hafeli and her son Aden, reside in Bloomfield Hills, Mich. Hafeli is pursuing a postgraduate degree for a Master's of Business Administration.
