• Was the number two runner at the Tommy Titan Invitational (Sept. 8) running 22:37 (4 miles) to place 29th
• Earned Academic All-Summit League honors

2011 Outdoor:
• Redshirt

2011 Indoor:
• Runner-up in the 3000 at the Macomb Opener (Dec. 11)
• Ran a career-best 3000 of 9:18.87 at The Cardinal (Jan. 28)

2010 Outdoor:
• Ran a season-best 16:10.02 in the 5000 at the Spartan Invite (April 3)

2010 Indoor:
• Finished among the top 10 with a season-best of 4:42.70 in the mile at the SVSU Holiday Classic (Dec. 4)

2009 Outdoor:
• Ran a career-best 5000 of 15:53.30 at the EMU Twilight Meet (April 18)

2009 Indoor:
• Ran a time of 9:50.99 in the 3000 at the EMU Invitational (Jan. 10)

High School:
• Earned four letters for coach Robert Ritsema
• Helped his team qualify for the Division I state championship meet as a senior.
• Qualified as an individual in his junior year

Parents: Mary and Richard Gienapp .
• His cousin, Abby Gienapp played soccer at Grand Valley State (2000-04)
