Marcella Da Costa enters her first season as a graduate assistant with the Oakland swimming and diving staff.
Having a familiar background in swimming, Da Costa was an assistant swim coach at Santa Mónica Clube de Campo over in Brazil. Her focus consisted of training swimmers in both dry land and water, along with demonstrating proper swimming techniques.
The division one swimmer managed to achieve the all-academic MAC team for six semesters, along with MAC swimmer of the week.
Arriving at Oakland, Da Costa came with a background in Hotel/Restaurant Management and Marketing from Eastern Michigan. While still pursuing a Master of Business Administration and concentration in Marketing here at Oakland.
