Carrie is a registered dietitian and board certified specialist in sports dietetics. She began working with Oakland University Athletics in 2011, and has had the privilege of working with all varsity athletic teams, collaborating with sports medicine, strength and conditioning, and the campus counseling center, opened the student athlete fueling station in 2019, and participated in research related to vitamin D and bone mass in student athletes. Carrie provides individual nutrition counseling, group education, body composition testing and analysis, grocery shopping and cafeteria tours, and cooking class for all athletic teams.Â
In addition to her work at Oakland, Carrie is the consulting dietitian for the Women's National Hockey Team, US Figure Skating, and the Detroit Pistons, and served as a Team USA dietitian at the 2018 Winter Olympic Games in PyeongChang, South Korea.Â
Carrie lives in Royal Oak, Mich. and when she's not traveling, spends as much time as she can with her husband and pets, cooking, and taking care of her garden.Â
