Why did you choose Oakland University?

1. The campus isn't like the other schools I was considering. As someone who was a student at International Academy, I find Oakland's campus to be similar - smaller and more quiet, but has a community I can find myself being alongside as I follow my passions
2. The team was also a big factor. Had I not known Oakland even had a team, much less the strength of its players, I would have considered other avenues. Having the chance to make the team, as well as foster new friendships and improve my own skill at the game, was a huge driving force for me throughout my time at Oakland
3. The most important thing is definitely the people, though. Every staff member I have met has been so kind and helpful, whether it be health issues regarding a class or simple advice about a path forward, I feel as though Oakland really cares about us succeeding - not just in academics, but as an individual
