Boltz joins Oakland Athletics after over three years at the university level
Matt Boltz was named Assistant Athletic Director for Business Administration in April 2017 where he is responsible for providing business support in all fiscal matters pertaining to budgetary control, accounting policies and procedures, financial analysis, billing, projections and special projects.
Before joining athletics, Boltz spent three years as a financial analyst at the university level providing budgetary and financial planning support. During this time he successfully led in the university-wide implementation of electronic budget journal vouchers and presented on the implementation at state and national conferences.
Prior to Oakland, Boltz worked as an accountant for Groen, Kluka & Company, P.C.. He also spent three years as a data analyst for Process Development Corporation in Canton, Mich. Boltz worked at Baker College from 2004-09 as a programmer and adjunct instructor.
The Augusta, Mich. native earned his bachelor’s degree in English from Grand Valley State in 1997 then earned his associates in applied science with a focus in computer programming from Kalamazoo Valley Community College in 2000. He later went on to earn two degrees at Oakland, his Masters of Business Administration in 2006 and Masters of Accounting in 2011.
