BROOKS JR, CAMPBELL EARNED PRAIRIE FARMS STUDENT ATHLETE OF THE WEEK HONORS

ROCHESTER, Mich. – On Monday, Oakland University announced Men's Track Athlete Terrence Brooks Jr. and Softball Pitcher Sydney Campbell as Prairie Farms Student Athletes of the Week.

Brooks once again pulled away with the top time in the men's 800m run at the conclusion of the Colonial Relays with a 1:52.16 which is more than 2.5 seconds ahead of the second-best time (also from OU) and over three second faster than the third-best time. Brooks finished 10th in the Invitational Championship heat.

Campbell led Oakland to a 3-0 series sweep over Purdue Fort Wayne over the weekend, reaching a milestone 200 career strikeouts in game two of three. The LaGrange, Ohio native allowed 13 hits and only two runs in her 16.1 innings of work while striking out 10 batters for the third-best league ERA at 2.49 on the year and boasted a 0.55 ERA on the weekend.
