ROCHESTER, Mich. — Clarence Round has joined the Oakland University athletics department as a lead graphic designer, Senior Assistant AD for Communications
Maria Rivera announced Friday.
"We are excited and lucky to have Clarence as part of our team," Rivera said. "Clarence brings a wealth of knowledge and talent and will be a huge asset as we look to take our digital content to the next level and continue to promote and enhance the Oakland Athletics brand across all digital platforms."
Round most recently served as a graphic design intern for the Golden Grizzlies from February 2021 through the summer. He designed graphics, schedule posters, and wallpapers shared across OU digital platforms during this period.
Before Oakland, Round spent five months as a creative service intern with the Eastern Michigan University athletics department. He was heavily involved in recruiting graphics and photoshoot file management in his stint with the nearby Eagles. Round has also worked with several clients as a freelance graphic designer since 2019.
Outside of sports, Round was a Corporal for the United States Marine Corps from 2012-16. He worked as an administrative specialist with the Department of Defense during his time in the military.
In December 2020, Round graduated from Oakland with a bachelor's degree in communications and a graphic design minor.
