ROCHESTER, Mich. — Associate Athletic Director for Development
Ben Fielder announced the hiring of
Kate Corsetti as Director for Development. Corsetti is no stranger to Oakland, as she worked as an athletics development assistant with the Golden Grizzlies from 2008-2013 and has spent the last eight years at OU assisting with gift accounting, development projects, and fundraising.
"I am really excited to be back in athletics with the Golden Grizzlies," Corsetti expressed. "As an alumnus and former employee with athletics, I have seen the department evolve over the years. With the momentum and current staff in place, I feel that now is the perfect time to be part of this team. Having been around campus for such a long time, I believe that this group in athletics can take Oakland to the next level."Â
Corsetti joins the athletic department after three years as a development associate with Oakland's School of Education and Human Services. During this time, she managed development office projects and was responsible for faculty fundraising, events, stewardship overview, alumni efforts, and other development-related efforts not directly linked to cultivating and soliciting major gifts.Â
"I am excited to welcome Kate to the athletics department as our Director for Development," Fielder said. "Kate has a passion for connecting back with alumni and supporters of this great institution. Being an Oakland alum with prior experience working here, she is poised to have great success in this position. I look forward to working with Kate as we continue fostering connections to current and future donors to positively impact current and future Oakland University student-athletes."
From 2013-2018, Corsetti assisted in gift accounting and alumni relations at OU. During this period, she implemented new procedures to improve gift accounting efficiency and executed solutions to extend services through gift administration and processing technology. To add, Corsetti analyzed gift and pledge data along with supervising gift accountants and student employees.Â
A 1986 graduate of Oakland, Corsetti earned her bachelor's degree in General Management with a concentration in Accounting.
