INDIANAPOLIS – Oakland's men's and women's track and field teams were picked to finish third in the 2021-22 #HLTF preseason poll announced by the league office on Friday and voted on by the league's head coaches. 

Current men's and women's #HLTF Indoor Champion, Youngstown, came out on top of the preseason poll, followed by Milwaukee in second. 

Last week, the Golden Grizzlies opened their indoor season at the SVSU Holiday Open and started strong with three school records. After the New Year, they will return to competition at the CMU Invite on Jan. 14.
