ROCHESTER, Mich. -- Oakland University Athletics will continue its partnership with WDFN 1130 AM as the official radio provider for the department by signing a three-year agreement announced by Director of Broadcasting
Neal Ruhl.
"We have established great brand identity with WDFN and the iHeartRadio app," said Ruhl.
WDFN, who is owned by iHeartMedia Inc., has been a longtime radio partner for the Golden Grizzlies and will continue to provide coverage for all Oakland men's basketball games as well as the Greg Kampe Radio Show.
"Golden Grizzlies fans know where to find the game and where to find great coverage of their team with the Greg Kampe Show," added Ruhl. "Parlay that with the new sponsorship by Real Team Real Estate, and the Oakland Golden Grizzlies are becoming a major player in the Detroit market, both on and off the court."
Ruhl will return for his sixth season as the Voice of the Golden Grizzlies and will be joined by color analyst Dan Waterstradt and sideline reporter Lauren Jbara.
The Farmington Hills-based station will air its next Oakland Men's Basketball broadcast on Nov. 6 for an exhibition contest against Kalamazoo. The Golden Grizzlies' regular season opener is set for Nov. 9 against Toledo inside the O'rena. Dates for the Greg Kampe Radio Show will be announced on Nov. 1.
