Oakland University Athletics is set to host the fourth annual Black and Gold Awards Monday, April 16 at 7 p.m. inside the O'rena. Doors will open at 6 p.m.
The Black and Gold Awards serve as a celebration for Oakland's student-athletes to honor their accomplishments in competition, the classroom and in the community.
Some of this year's presenters include: Fox 2 news and Oakland alumnus Amy Andrews, WXYZ-TV's Justin Rose, 97.1 FM and Oakland alumni Mike Sullivan, 97.9 FM DJ and Oakland alumnus Kirby Gwen, Fox Sports Detroit's Johnny Kane, Oakland alumni Joey Namou, also known as Joey Radio from 95.5 FM and Oakland University President Ora Pescovitz.
The show will be hosted by the Voice of the Golden Grizzlies, Neal Ruhl, and Oakland sideline reporter and in-house host Lauren Jbara.
Monday's event is open to the public and free to attend.
