ROCHESTER, Mich. ââ'¬" Oakland University Athletics announced on Monday that the Golden Grizzlies will partner with National Coney Island to become the official concessionaire for the upcoming season. National Coney Island will be at all home events inside the Athletics Center O'rena and at select outdoor home events.

"With attendance soaring in the O'rena and a continued focus on improving the game day atmosphere, we recognized that our concessions operation was yet another opportunity for us to build on this objective," said Director of Facilities, Andy Adrianse. "We're extremely excited to begin this new partnership with National Coney Island and feel it will pay dividends in the experience one gets when coming to the O'rena"

The agreement not only provides an enhanced menu and service operation within the O'rena, but also a brand new food truck for select outdoor events. National Coney Island will offer their signature Coney dogs, chili, and other food options not previously available to Golden Grizzly fans.

Founded by James Giftos in 1965, National Coney Island currently owns and operates 20 restaurants and has a long-standing record of community goodwill through the support of hundreds of local charities, schools, athletic teams, churches, and other organizations.
