Nov. 3, 2016 ROCHESTER, Mich. ââ'¬" Oakland Athletics has added Tagboard as a new social media platform heading into the 2016-17 basketball season announced Senior Assistant Athletic Director
Scott MacDonald on Tuesday.
"We continue to focus on engagement of our student-athletes, fans and alumni through social media outlets," said MacDonald. "Tagboard provides a great opportunity to interact live during home or away games, and see themselves on the high-definition video board inside the O'rena by using the official hashtag of Oakland Athletics."
Tagboard's patented technology brings together the social conversation within seconds of the content being posted to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and other networks. Simply put, this technology unifies the community and makes it simple and fun for all fans to participate.
Golden Grizzly fans can join the conversation by using the hashtag #WEARtheBEAR on any public post, which may be featured on GoldenGrizzlies.com and on the video board at O'rena all season long.
Tagboard is an innovative way Oakland Athletics can engage with fans by selecting posts to feature on its website, broadcasts, TV displays and video board.
Some of Tagboard's other clients include the NCAA, Seattle Seahawks, Seattle Mariners, Stanford, USC, UCLA and Audi.
