ROCHESTER, Mich. ââ'¬" Oakland University Athletics has entered into a new partnership with Vivature, announced by Assistant Athletic Director for Athletic Performance Chris Meny on Friday. Vivature will provide additional resources in the care of student-athletes, including solutions for verification of insurance, injury tracking, security and full compliance, and the rising cost of attendance.

"In today's changing Healthcare environment it is vital for accurate and efficient documentation of medical records," said Meny. "Our partnership with Vivature will allow us to use our resources both in the clinic and while we travel. The other key advantage with this system is we will have the opportunity to incorporate other allied Healthcare providers in the athletic setting. Ultimately being able to offer the highest level of student-athlete care."

Vivature's programs will allow efficient use of manpower and technology in Oakland's athletic training room. Oakland will utilize their state-of-the-art software to better serve the student-athletes and increase the level and scope of student-athlete care by supporting the use of allied health providers, especially those not normally associated within the mid-major athletic training environment.

"We look forward to this strategic relationship that will assist our logistics in this area and provide a possible additional revenue stream," said Director of Athletics Jeff Konya. "Our student-athletes will be a direct beneficiary of this alignment."

The addition of Vivature will also provide Oakland with medical documentation that will have positive effects on the relationship between student-athletes and outside medical providers, and puts Oakland Athletics on the leading edge of increased services for student-athletes in intercollegiate athletics.
