ROCHESTER, Mich. - This edition of Golden Grizzlies Weekly showcases the beginning of Horizon League play for Fall sports highlighted by men's and women's soccer matches at home.

WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 24
Softball vs. UM-Dearborn (Doubleheader), 2:30 p.m.
▪ The Golden Grizzlies play its first Fall games of the season after being rained out on Sunday with two games against UM-Dearborn at the Oakland Softball Field.

FRIDAY, SEPT. 26
Men's Soccer vs. UIC, 7:00 p.m.
▪ The men's soccer team opens up its Horizon League slate under the lights of the Oakland Soccer Field against defending regular-season champion UIC.

Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving, Black and Gold Intrasquad, 6:30 p.m.
▪ Both swimming and diving programs begin the quest for back-to-back Horizon League titles with the annual Black and Gold Intrasquad Meet at the Oakland Aquatic Center.

SATURDAY, SEPT. 27
Women's Soccer vs. Green Bay, 7:00 p.m.
▪ The women's soccer team opens up the home portion of its league schedule at the Oakland Soccer Field having been on the road for three consecutive weeks. Faculty and staff that come to the game with their ID will receive a "Wear The Bear" t-shirt

Women's Golf hosting Golden Grizzlies Invitational, Presented by Patsy Lou Automotive Group
▪ The Golden Grizzlies will host a six-team tournament at Katke-Cousins Golf Course on Saturday and Sunday

SUNDAY, SEPT. 28
The HealthPlus Brooksie Way
▪ Oakland University Athletics is once again a part of one of Oakland County's premier quality of life events. Oakland County will sponsor a half marathon, a 10K and a 5K race that will cut through Oakland's campus with race proceeds supporting programs that encourage healthy and active lifestyle and are distributed through Brooksie Way MiniGrants.

GOLDEN GRIZZLIES ON THE ROAD
Women's Soccer
▪ The women's team officially kicks off Horizon League play on the road at Valparaiso on Wednesday Sept. 24 starting at 7:30 p.m. ET

Volleyball
▪ Having won six of their last seven matches, the volleyball team begins league play on the road to Northeast Ohio with a match against Youngstown State on Friday and versus Cleveland State on Saturday.

Softball
▪ The Golden Grizzlies will play a four-game tournament against Michigan, Central Michigan and Western Michigan on Saturday and Sunday in Traverse City.
