OAKLAND TO HOST 13TH ANNUAL CELEBRITY WHEELCHAIR BASKETBALL GAME

13th Annual Celebrity Wheelchair Basketball Game

ROCHESTER, Mich. - Oakland's Athletic Center O'rena will once again play host to DMC Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan's (RIM) 13th Annual Celebrity Wheelchair Basketball Game on Thursday, November 6 at 7:00 pm. Tickets are available at the door the night of the game as a suggested donation of $5 will be accepted at the door. All proceeds from the game benefit the Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan Foundation.

The game features sports celebrities and radio and television personalities, who compete in wheelchairs along with RIM's award-winning wheelchair basketball team, the Detroit Diehards.

Some of the celebrities scheduled to play include, former Detroit Pistons stars Rasheed Wallace and Rick Mahorn, Olympic swimmer Peter Vanderkaay, Lion's Alumni Lomas Brown, WXYZ's Justin Rise and many more. The celebrity coaches include the Detroit Piston's Kyle Singler, Piston's alumni John Long and recording artist Trick Trick.

Be sure to catch the pre-game action at 5:30 pm when RIM's doctors, nurses and therapists challenge Oakland University's Athletic Department to a wheelchair basketball game.
