Women in Sports Day

ROCHESTER, Mich. - This edition of Golden Grizzlies Weekly showcases Oakland's Women in Sports Day in support of Breast Cancer Awareness on Saturday.

WEDNESDAY, OCT. 8
Men's Soccer vs. Ohio State, 7:00 p.m.
â-ª It is a Black Out at the Oakland Soccer Field as all fans are asked to #WearTheBear to support the men's soccer team as they take on the Buckeyes. The first 100 students will receive a free black winter hat.

FRIDAY, OCT. 10
Volleyball vs. Valparaiso, 7:00 p.m.
â-ª The Golden Grizzlies will put their perfect 3-0 Horizon League record on the line as they host Valparaiso in the Athletics Center O'rena. It is Youth Night as all kids will receive free temporary tattoos and rubber bracelets.

SATURDAY, OCT. 11
Women in Sports Day
â-ª The Oakland University Athletics department is holding a Women's In Sports Day on Saturday open to any and all in eighth grade or younger. The day includes 20-minute clinics with the women's basketball team, women's soccer team, women's golf team, softball team and volleyball team. There will be an arts and crafts session before the volleyball game at 4 p.m. followed by pizza before watching the women's soccer game at 7 p.m. Everyone will receive a free t-shirt and their will be autograph sessions after each game. Volleyball vs. UIC, 4 p.m.
â-ª The volleyball team will have its Pink Game against the Flames as the first 100 fans will receive a free pink "Wear The Bear" t-shirt.

Women's Soccer vs. UIC, 7 p.m.
â-ª The women's soccer team will also be hosting its Pink Game against the Flames on Saturday as the first 100 fans will receive a free pink "Wear The Bear" t-shirt.

GOLDEN GRIZZLIES ON THE ROAD
Men's Golf
â-ª The Oakland men's golf team continue its Fall season on Monday and Tuesday as they compete in the Bearcat Invitational, hosted by Cincinnati, in Hebron, Ky.

Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving
â-ª The defending Horizon League champions begin their dual meet schedule this weekend as they travel to the state of Wisconsin to take on a pair of Horizon League foes. The Golden Grizzlies face Milwaukee on Friday beginning at 6 p.m ET followed by Green Bay on Saturday at 1 p.m. ET.

Men's Soccer
â-ª The Golden Grizzlies will continue Horizon League play on Saturday as they hit the road to Cleveland State to take on the Vikings beginning at 7 p.m. at Krenzler Soccer Field.
