ROCHESTER, Mich. - Oakland's Athletic Center O'rena will once again play host to DMC Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan's (RIM) 12th Annual Celebrity Wheelchair Basketball Game on Tuesday, September 24 at 7:00 pm. Admission is free.
The game features sports celebrities and radio and television personalities, who compete in wheelchairs along with RIM's award-winning wheelchair basketball team, the Detroit Diehards.
Some of the celebrities scheduled to play include, former Detroit Pistons star Rick Mahorn, Olympic swimmer, Peter Vanderkaay, WXYZ sportscaster Brad Galli and many of your favorite radio jocks from Hot 107.5, Channel 95.5 and WJLB. In addition, there will be a special half-time performance by B Smyth.
This unique, one-of-a-kind, charity event, raises funds for RIM's wheelchair sports program.
Be sure to catch the pre-game action at 5:30 pm when RIM's doctors, nurses and therapists challenge Oakland University's Athletic Department to a wheelchair basketball game.
