Oakland APR Report
ROCHESTER, Mich. - The NCAA released the annual Academic Progress Report (APR) and four Oakland University programs recorded perfect scores, led by the two-time Summit League defending champion men's basketball team. A total of eight Golden Grizzlies' intercollegiate sports have a multiyear APR rank higher than the average institution.
Joining the men's basketball team with a perfect score of 1000 were women's basketball, women's cross country and volleyball.
"The results of the NCAA APR report gives testimony to the dedication of our student-athletes," said Director of Athletics Tracy Huth. "The educational component of intercollegiate athletics participation is first and foremost at Oakland University. We take pride in the academic achievement, athletic successes and community commitment of our student-athletes.

The data released by the NCAA includes the past four academic years, 2006-07 through 2009-10. Each individual team is given a grade up to 1000 for each of those years as well as the past four years combined.
For the year, 14 of Oakland's 18 intercollegiate sports were higher than last year's data.
