The reading club is a new program with Oakland University Athletics and the Auburn Hills Public Library. The program is designed to get more kids involved in reading. It is open to students in the 1-6th grades and will run throughout the 2010-11 Golden Grizzlies Basketball season.

The program tracks the reading progress of the students around the basketball court with a free throw (one book), jump shot (2 books), layup (3 books) and slam dunk (4 books). There are various awards for completing each slam dunk. For more information you can go to http://grfx.cstv.com/photos/schools/oakl/genrel/auto_pdf/ReadingClub.pdf.
