ROCHESTER, Mich. - The Ninth Annual President's Invitational golf tournament was held on Friday, June 11 on the R&S Sharf golf course on the campus of Oakland University. Eighty golfers competed in a two-person, best ball format for the prestigious Golden Grizzly award with more than $175,000 raised for Oakland University's academic and athletic programs.

"We are truly grateful the support this year and what it means to Oakland University, as well as the Depatment of Athletics and our student-athletes," said Director of Athletics Tracy Huth.

Participants and their guests enjoyed a delicious mid-day luncheon, a picture-perfect afternoon of golf, and an elegant evening reception with a live band under the tent at Meadowbrook Hall. The event, chaired by Hugh Elliott of Elliott Group International, has grossed more than $1 million since its inception, supporting important academic and athletic programs across the University.
