The Oakland University athletic department lost a dear friend and colleague last Thursday night as Sylvia Rowe passed away. Rowe joined the department in 1998 as an accounting clerk and was key in the transition from Division II to Division I.
"It was with great sadness that I learned of this news on Friday morning," said Director of Athletics Tracy Huth. "Sylvia had been with us for over 10 years and she will be dearly missed by this entire staff."
Loving mother of Sandra (John) Fiaschetti and David (Trisha) Rowe. Beloved grandmother of Mishell, Nicholas, Julian, Christian, Liliana and Kylen. Sister of Christopher Paszko, Veronica (Peter) Potestato, Joann (John) Gallagher and the late Thomas Paszko. Dear daughter of Mildred Rowe. Survived by her cats Tony and Tenny. She filled her family's life with laughter and love. They promise to carry on both.
Funeral mass Tuesday, April 27, 2010 at 10 a.m. with an instate time of 9:30 a.m. at St. Andrew Catholic Church 1400 Inglewood, Rochester.
