The All University Fund Drive (AUFD) is a an annual internal campaign at Oakland University to raise funds from faculty and staff to support the University, the United Way, and the Black United Fund. For the second year in a row, 100 percent of the athletic department's coaches and staff have donated.
"Considering the current economic climate, this really shows our coaches' and staff's dedication to our student-athletes and to our mission," said Director of Athletics Tracy Huth.
This year, combined with the President's Match, the athletics department employees have generated almost $49,000 in support, which is a 17 percent increase over last year.
"We have just finished our first-ever strategic planning process and as we go out to seek support for OU, it is important for our prospective donors to know that we support ourselves as well," said Assistant Director of Athletics for Development Joe Impellizzeri.
Coaches, athletic staff, and student-athletes also participate in a variety of community events throughout the year including: food drives, Coaches vs. Cancer, clothing drives, charity nights, and adopt-a-family programs. If you would like to support the Golden Grizzlies, click here.
