ROCHESTER, Mich. - Oakland University basketball alum Jeff Plank coached his Needles High School basketball team to the Nevada 2A State Championship title in an 81-78 victory over Agassi Prep (Las Vegas) on Saturday, Feb. 28 at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas, Nev.

Plank, who played forward for the Oakland Pioneers in 1993 and 1994, led the Mustangs to a 31-6 overall record and a perfect 14-0 league record. Senior point guard Stevie Kidd was named the league's player of the year.
