Oakland University lost a dear friend on Monday with the passing of Paul Cary. Cary joined the the staff in 1984 and worked for the athletic department from 1998-2008. He is survived by his wife, Diana, who also works at OU in the University Mail Services department.
"Paul was an integral part of the operations within the Department of Athletics," said Director of Athletics Tracy Huth. "His contributions were outstanding. We are blessed to be able to look around this building and actually see what Paul accomplished over the years. The type of work he performed might be replaced but, his presence and friendship cannot. He will be missed by the entire university community."
