ROCHESTER, Mich. - The first snowfalls of the season have hit Michigan and there is no reason why anybody should have cold hands this time of year. That's why the Oakland University men's and women's swimming and diving teams will host the third annual Mitten Toss on Sunday, Dec. 13.

The event will take place at halftime of the men's basketball game against Green Bay. Fans are encouraged to bring new or gently used mittens or gloves to be thrown onto the court at halftime.

All proceeds will be donated to the Lighthouse of Oakland County to benefit local families in need for the winter. Fans who show their mittens at the door will also be entered for Golden Grizzly giveaways.

The game is scheduled for a 4:30 p.m. start.
