He left the program after the 1992 season with school records for wins (248) and years coached (11), both of which still stand at the time of his induction into the Hall of Honor. In just three seasons Hurdle took the OU volleyball team to its first GLIAC championship in 1985 when Oakland set a school record for wins with a 33-10 record. During Hurdle???s 11 seasons at OU his teams reached the 20-win mark eight times. A member of four national championship teams at Oakland, Judson was a standout swimmer in the mid 1990s for Oakland and earned All-America honors 20 times during his career at OU. In both 1996 and 1997 he helped Oakland to the team championships with a pair of individual crowns, taking home the title in the 200-breastroke in both of those years, becoming the second Oakland swimmer to capture the national title in that event. He also captured two other national titles on relay teams, getting those championships in 1995 and 1996 as part of Oakland???s winning 400-medlay relay teams. She finished her career with 1,333 points, becoming the 13th player at OU to reach the 1,000-point mark. A threat from behind the three-point line, she set school records for three-point field goals in a season and career as well as three-point attempts in a game and finished her career among the school???s all-time leaders in three-point shooting percentage. Tiomkin is a name that is among the all-time leading scorers in Oakland men???s soccer history. One of Oakland???s top defenders during his playing years at OU, Williford was the ninth Oakland men???s soccer player to gain All-America honors. In the fall of 1964 the call went out to students at Oakland University to form a men???s swimming and diving team. Not only did those that answered the call form the first swimming and diving team at OU, it also paved the way for the entire future of Oakland athletics as the first varsity sport at the school. On December 12, 1964 history was made as the new Oakland team hosted Schoolcraft College in the first varsity athletics event in OU history. Oakland defeated Schoolcraft that day and went on to post a 6-2-1 record for the season.
