Rochester, Mich. (Apr. 18, 2007) ???C A special ceremony will take place on the Oakland University campus on Saturday evening when the Oakland Athletics department will induct the 20th class into the Hollie L. Lepley Hall of Honor. Six individuals will be honored in the ceremony that will be held in the Athletics Center O???Rena. The first varsity team at OU, the 1964-65 men???s swimming and diving squad will also be honored as will four other individuals who will be awarded the Gary D. Russi Community Service and Geroge Wibby Awards. Individuals that will be inducted into the Hall will be Scott Collins (cross country), Bob Hurdle (coach-volleyball), Jay Judson (men???s swimming and diving), Deanna Richard (women???s basketball), Eli Tiomkin (men???s soccer) and Derek Williford (men???s soccer). Tom Eller (men???s basketball) and Antia Rapp (women???s soccer) were also elected to the Hall but will be inducted at a later date as they will be unable to attend Saturday???s ceremony. Dr. Virinder Moudgil and Mel Gilroy will be honored with the Wibby Award, while Russ Luxton and Dr. Sami Rifat will be awarded the Gary D. Russi Community Service Award.
