Women???s swimming and diving, soccer, volleyball and men???s soccer all play at home this weekend. ROCHESTER, Mich. ???C Oakland University will host opponents for women???s soccer (6-6-1, 4-2 Summit), swimming and diving and volleyball (6-15) on Friday, and the men???s soccer team has a home game on Saturday, with the volleyball team concluding the big weekend on Sunday. Women???s soccer will kick it off at 4 p.m. on Friday against Southern Utah, with swimming and diving hosting a tri-meet against Illinois and Toledo on Friday at 5 p.m., and volleyball hosting Centenary College at 7 p.m. for Parents??? Night in the Athletics Center O???Rena.
The men???s soccer team (6-5-2, 3-0 Summit) will take on IPFW on Saturday at 1 p.m. at the OU Soccer Field. Volleyball will wrap-up action for the weekend on Sunday against IPFW for a mid-afternoon 3 p.m. match in the O???Rena.
All home games are free admission.
The women???s soccer team has not tasted defeat in five consecutive matches (4-0-1), carrying a three-game winning streak into the match with Southern Utah. The Golden Grizzlies (4-2 Summit) are tied with Western Illinois (4-0) in first place with 12 points in the conference standings. The men???s soccer team is atop the league standings with a perfect 3-0 record.
The volleyball team looks to set a Division I record for the program by reaching its seventh win of the season. The last time Oakland won seven contests was during the 1998 campaign, where the Grizzlies won eight games.
The swimming and diving team is hosting its first dual meets this season, while Illinois (0-1) and Toledo (0-1) dropped its opening meets last weekend.
