Rochester, Mich. (July 25, 2006) ???C It is almost time for the popular Lake St. Clair Benefit Cruise, a popular event that benefits the Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving teams and with scholarship support. The third annual event will be held this year on August 26 starting at 7 p.m. aboard the Infinity Yacht at the Jefferson Beach Marina in St. Clair Shores. Boarding on the yacht begins at 6:30 p.m. and the cruise runs from 7-11 p.m. The evening aboard includes hors d'oeuvres, "top-shelf" full buffet meal and open bar, dancing, Karaoke and a silent auction. Cost for the event is $125 per person or $200 per couple. Everybody that purchases a ticket for the cruise will be entered in a drawing to receive a free, 27-month lease of a 2007 Pontiac G6, a $6,000 value. This is your chance to support one of Oakland's most successful programs and be a part of a championship tradition. Just a few of the programs' accomplishments include: seven consecutive men's and women's Mid-Continent Conference titles, Chris Sullivan earning two All-America certificates at the 2006 NCAA Championships and more than half of the student-athletes in the program maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
