Rochester, Mich. (Mar. 28, 2006) ???C Oakland University???s Senior Associate Athletics Director, Tracy Huth, has been named to the NCAA Division I Swimming and Diving Committee the NCAA has announced. Huth???s term on the committee will start September 1, 2006 and run for four years. Among its various duties the committee develops and reviews NCAA swimming and diving rules and ensures that entries for the national championship meet conform to NCAA guidelines. A longtime member of the Oakland athletics family, Huth was elevated to his present position after spending five years as the associate athletics director for the Golden Grizzlies. Prior to that he served five years as the assistant athletics director for compliance and student services. He is responsible for supervising the department's compliance activities and monitoring all aspects of student-athlete welfare. Huth, who has been on the Oakland staff since 1987 when he started as the women???s swimming & diving coach, retired from coaching in 1998 to focus on his position as assistant AD.
