Rochester, Mich. (Aug. 19, 2005) ???C The time and date for the fall Student-Athlete Orientation at Oakland University has been set. The annual meeting, which is mandatory for all student-athletes at Oakland, will be held on Tuesday, August 30, 2005 in the Varner Recital Hall on Oakland???s campus. There will be an 11:00 a.m. session for SAAC representatives (this will be held in the Athletics Center), a 12:15 p.m. session for all first-year student-athletes and SAAC reps and a 1:00 p.m. session for ALL student-athletes. This meeting will present vital information that pertains to institutional, Mid-Continent Conference and NCAA policies and procedures. It will also include a session on hazing presented by Rick Farnham, former AD at the University of Vermont. The complete schedule is below.
