Rochester, Mich. (July 28, 2005) - Just a few spots remain for your chance to join Oakland University supporters on the second annual Lake St. Clair Benefit Cruise aboard the Infinity Yacht on Saturday, Aug. 6, 2005. Proceeds from the event benefit the Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving teams and their 60 student-athletes with scholarship support. Boarding on the yacht begins at 6:30 p.m. and the cruise runs from 7-11 p.m. The evening aboard includes hors d'oeuvres, "top-shelf" full buffet meal and open bar, dessert service, dancing and silent auction. Cost for the event is $125 per person or $200 per couple*. This is your chance to support one of Oakland's most successful programs and be a part of a championship tradition. Just a few of the programs' accomplishments include: six consecutive men's and women's Mid-Continent Conference titles, more than half of the student-athletes in the program maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher, the women's squad has captured four straight National Independent Conference championships, and men's swimmer Chris Sullivan was a three-event Olympic trials qualifier in 2004.
