Rochester, Mich. (Oct. 28, 2005) ???C Oakland University???s department of athletics will be hosting Stephen Thompson as a guest speaker on the topic of Athletes & Sexual Aggression. Thompson will be making his presentation as a part of the OU Champs/Life Skills program on Sunday, October 30. The author of No More Fear, Thompson is considered one of the nation???s leading experts on the topic of sexual aggression. An Associate Professor at Central Michigan University, he has over 25 years of experience on the topic and has worked as a consultant and sex crimes profiler for police departments across the U.S.A. Thompson has appeared on ???Good Morning America???, been interviewed by major newspapers and magazines throughout the country. He has served as a lecturer and consultant for numerous universities, service groups, private corporations, high schools and government agencies. Thompson???s presentation will take place in 201 Dodge Hall on the Oakland campus. The evening will start with a presentation to the men???s basketball team at 5:00 p.m. followed by a female student-athlete session at 6:30 p.m. and a male student-athlete session at 7:30 p.m.
